Two years Training Management System(TMS) experience. Ability to obtain a Secret clearance. The Squadron Associate (SA) reports to the TMSM through the TMSS DBA and participates in the maintenance and troubleshooting of the TMS supporting the F-16 program. Squadron Associates are assigned to duties in the flying squadron and assist the Squadron Chief of Training with tracking training functions. The Squadron Associate helps maintain and update databases as required in support of the TMS, as well as helping conduct training for system users of differing skill levels and backgrounds. The Squadron Associate assists users as needed. Specific Squadron Associate duties include the following:• Assist personnel of the assigned squadron on all TMS issues and serve as the squadron focal point for resolving TMS problems• In the absence of the Squadron Scheduler, load the daily schedule as provided by the squadron programmer• Assist and back up the squadron Mid-Range Programmer• Assist the Squadron Chief of training with documentation and tracking of all students, permanent party, and attached personnel training events• Be thoroughly familiar with and proficient in all aspects of the TMS; be the first person for squadron personnel to contact when questions arise• Provide inputs to the TMSS DBA and TMSM in making the TMS more effective• Provide inputs to the TMSS SD and TMSM for developing and delivering training programs for all TMS users• Provide inputs to the TMSS DBA and TMSM for writing TMS department procedures and operating instructions• Assist the TMSS DBA and TMSM with troubleshooting and correcting problems associated with TMS functions• Be thoroughly familiar with all training syllabi, USAF Instructions, and local guidance related to scheduling student and permanent party training events• Be thoroughly knowledgeable of pilot crew rest requirements and duty limitations• Analyze the F-16 syllabi and understand all aspects of each syllabus.• Provide backup to the squadron schedulers as well as TMS support
